You can't really compose music without harmony :). Harmony provides most of the context for the music you make - it is essential.
Primary Concepts for This Skill
- ‘Harmonic structures’ is a fancy way of saying ‘Chord progressions’.
- Harmony/Chords are extracted from scales and keys and therefore have a musical bond together.
- Many composers use the notes in the harmony to build their melodies (and vice versa).
