Developing confidence with guitar requires both technical and intellectual knowledge. This first module will help new guitarists understand how to tune and play a guitar properly. This entire program is focused on basics, so you won't find any intermediate or advanced lessons here - instead new guitarists should focus on a fundamental understanding that will optimize your future development as a guitarist and musician.
After getting a taste of playing music in the first part of this program, you'll want to know how to strum more complex rhythms and have fun strumming your guitar. This section of the course will help you understand timing, rhythm and how "cool" strumming patterns work and how they should be played and learned.
Many guitarists jump into playing guitar solos from guitar tab and get frustrated because they don't really know what they're doing, musically. This section of the course introduces and thoroughly explains one of the most important music theory concepts involved in solo/lead guitar playing - the arpeggio. Learning to play arpeggios as a muscle memory is an invaluable skill for any musician (and certainly any lead guitarist) to learn.
